Drawing from his Iranian + Indian upbringing and his childhood spent watching classic cinema with his Persian grandmother, he lives and breathes filmic images. His work is intuitive and instinctual. Not one to follow trends, he uses this wealth of cinema references, emotion, identity and narrative to form his stories to great effect. From music videos (with three consecutive noms at the Brit Awards with over a billion hits on youtube) to his collabs with heavy-weight brands like New Balance or Levi's, to his moving narrative projects, Sasha has everything we love about a director - heartfelt work with an emotional charge that also looks really good.
